THE SCRIPTURES – We believe that the Bible is divinely inspired and is the revealed will of God. (2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Deut. 4:1-2)
THE TRINITY - We believe in the triune Godhead of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Matt. 28:18-20; Luke 3:21-22; 2 Cor. 13:14)
MAN, HIS FALL AND REDEMPTION –The Bible says “all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”
- Jesus Christ gave His life and shed His blood to redeem and restore man back to God.
- We believe that Jesus was the Son of God and took on a human nature.
- He died for the remission of our sins and rose from the dead victoriously. (1 Cor. 15:3-4; Acts 2:22-28; Acts 13:28-38; John 1:1-3, 14; Matt. 1:18-23; Heb. 1:1-3, 8-9; 1 John 3:5)
ETERNAL LIFE AND THE NEW BIRTH – Man’s first step toward God is the new birth,
- Placing one’s faith and trust in the finished work of Jesus Christ which, according to Jesus, is necessary to all men for eternal life.
- We believe that to gain salvation, one must be born again according to John 3:3 and Romans 10:9-10.
BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT – The Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a gift from God as promised by the Lord Jesus Christ to all believers which empowers them for service and enables the gifts of the Spirit to operate through them.
- We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. (Acts 1:4-5, 8; Acts 2:4; Acts 10:44-46; Acts 19:2-6)
- We believe that all believers are endowed with certain spiritual gifts.(Rom. 12:-8, 1 Cor. 12:18-28)
WATER BAPTISM – Baptism in water by immersion. We believe that all believers should be water baptized as commanded in the Scriptures. (Matt. 28:19; Acts 10:47-48)
SANTIFICATION –We believe in the Doctrine of Sanctification as a definite, yet progressive work of grace.
RESURRECTION OF THE JUST AND THE RETURN OF OUR LORD - Jesus’ disciples, and the early church taught us that Jesus return is imminent. He shall return to earth as King of kings, and Lord of lords.
HELL AND ETERNAL RETRIBUTION – The terms “eternal” and “everlasting,” used in describing the duration of the punishment of the damned, carry the same thought and meaning of endless existence as used in denoting the duration of joy and ecstasy of saints in the Presence of God
